New School Building in Karachi

It is with great anticipation that students, teachers and parents watched the construction work on the school, expecting better conditions. The old rooms were unacceptable even by Pakistani standards because of construction defects and rain damage. In spite of all this, there were even at that time more children asking to be accepted than there was room to accommodate them. There were many challenges. A sharp rise in prices for food, building material and many other items. Unexpectedly strong downpours. When the director of the building company fell ill and had to spend much time in the hospital, the church decided to continue the work on their own. They scrutinized the market and bought building material for a cheap price, provided the workforce and brought the construction work a good deal forward.

Although the work was still going on, the building started to be used for classes in July 2018. The number of students has risen significantly since then. The children are happy and proud of their new school. They invite friends and relatives to see it. Parents say that the school is a jewel in their neighbourhood and that it is promoting development. They as well as the teachers thank all sponsors who provided the funds for this project.
